Scene Study
At AC Acting Studios, our Scene Study classes are the core of our training program – a dynamic space where actors refine their craft through performance, critique, and rehearsal.
Regardless of experience level, the structure of the class remains the same:
- Actors bring in a fully prepared scene based on their current skill level.
- They perform in front of their classmates, simulating a real audience experience.
- The instructor provides in-depth feedback, offering guidance for further growth.
Outside of class, actors rehearse and refine their scenes, ensuring they bring their best work into the studio each session.

Class Levels
We offer three levels of Scene Study to meet each actor’s individual experience and training:
- Orientation – For those new to acting or seeking foundational skills
- Intermediate – Designed for actors looking to strengthen technique and confidence
- Advanced – For experienced actors honing their craft for professional work
These structured classes provide a practical, hands-on approach to scene work, allowing actors to develop their skills in a supportive and professional environment.
Auditions
At AC Acting Studios, we offer a dedicated Audition Training class, giving actors the opportunity to refine their auditioning skills in a structured, professional environment.
How It Works:
- Students receive scripts up to four days in advance and prepare their auditions as they would for a real casting session.
- The class covers all aspects of the audition process, from entering the room to delivering a confident performance and making a lasting impression.
- Actors receive personalized feedback to address individual challenges and refine their approach.

What You’ll Learn:
1. Breaking Down the Sides – What to do as soon as you receive your script
2. Full Audition Preparation – How to prepare effectively and thoroughly
3. Handling the Waiting Room – Managing nerves and maintaining focus
4. Owning the Room – How to take control and make a memorable impression
5. Leaving Your Work in the Room – Ensuring you exit with confidence
6. Cold Reads – What to do when you get last-minute material
7. On-Camera Auditioning – Navigating auditions with a camera in the room
8. Self-Tapes – Mastering the growing demand for high-quality self-taped auditions
Why Live Audition Training Matters
While self-tape auditions have become increasingly dominant – especially since 2020 – we believe that live audition training remains the best way to develop strong auditioning skills. Just like live theatre is the foundation for on-screen acting, live auditions teach actors the essential techniques they can then apply to any format, whether it’s an in-person casting session or a self-taped audition.
This hands-on approach ensures that actors are prepared, confident, and adaptable in any audition setting.
